Welcome to my little blog in a big blog world. I’m a Mum to 2 gorgeous girls and like so many others, am hopelessly addicted to scrapping. Here is my scrapping life story…
I first began ’scrapbooking’ while pregnant with my first baby back in 2001. In those days, I didn’t know what scrapbooking really was and had no idea there were entire shops and magazines devoted to it! LOL I stopped not long after Rachelle was born and it wasn’t until 2005 that I began making and selling premade paper bag albums, flirty purses and layouts on ebay. Then in Jan 2008 everything changed….my uber-talented sister Nat urged me to apply for the design team at Tearbears, Stamps and Scrapbooks. Being a part of the team boosted my confidence and inspired me to push myself to become a better scrapper. I have never looked back and I will forever love Shell for giving me the chance and encouragement to become the scrapper I am today.
Tearbears, Stamps and Scrapbooks has since grown and evolved into a fantastic site with sponsored challenges and a DT of 9 wonderfully talented ladies. In February 09 the site had a complete makeover and is now known as Ready, Set, Scrap! Come by and check it out… there are enough challenges every month to keep you busy and all of them have wonderful sponsored prizes. The girls in the forum are all genuinely fiendly and caring. The gallery is overflowing with stunning work and some of the DT girls are regularly published in all the major Australian Scrapbooking Mags!!!
My scrapping got another big boost in January when I made it onto two more design teams! The first was Songbird Scraps…a scrapbooking challenge blog that aims to inspire YOU with a range of song lyrics from across a wide range of genres and styles! There are a total of 4 lyrics each month to choose from and all you have to do to be in the running for the fantastic monthly prizes is complete one layout inspired by the lyrics. How easy is that?!
And then I was blown away to be accepted to the DT at my local scrap shop ‘Scrap It Flaunt It‘. If you are ever in Perth swing by the shop at Shop 9, 49 William Street in Armadale WA. The girls are so friendly and helpful, there is oodles of inspiration around the shop, a huge workshop area in the back, their prices are awesome, the stock is delicious and there is even a kids play area so you can shop in peace (unless your kids are like mine and run around everywhere! LOL) Check out their blog for trading hours, shop news and upcoming classes.
Recently my style has been evolving and seems to be leaning more towards the vintage/shabby chic/victorian styles. But then I love trying most styles so tend to swap and change a bit. I love pretty, feminine layouts with flowers, lace, layering and soft distressing. My fave paper ranges would have to be the delish Websters Pages. They have completely stolen my heart lately. And I cannot scrap without my Prima flowers and Kaiser pearls and rhinestones. One thing you will very rarely see is doodling on my layouts… definitely not my strong point!

Well, I think I have dribbled enough now to bore even the most patient of people. LOL Happy scrapping and feel free to leave me a comment!
